Bangladesh Slum Mombasa: Where is it and how does it operate?

Well, I hate referring to any place as a slum. Anyway, Bangladesh area of Mombasa (or Bangala for short) is to be found in Mombasa West Area of Mombasa. It is within the Jomvu Constituency, Mikindani Ward.
If you are coming from the Mombasa Island going to Bangladesh ‘slum’, you need to take the Makupa Causeway, drive across the Kibarani bridge, and drive on to the Changamwe Roundabout (where the Changamwe interchange is taking shape). At the Changamwe Roundabout/Interchange, you turn right, and drive towards Mikindani for about 1.5 kilometers to get to Bangala.
If you wish to travel by Matatu, then you need to take the Mikindani matatus, and tell the operators to drop you at Bangala. There are also the Jomvu/Mikanjuni andMiritini Estate matatus that pass by Bangala. But it is the Mikindani matatus that are likely to charge you the lowest fare to Bangala. You know that you have arrived at Bangala when you see the red apartments which I think belong to railways (I could be wrong), with an empty field around them, where Bangala residents sometimes fetch water that is brought by Mombasa Cement bowsers.
Most of the people who live in Bangala seem to be Luo, Kamba and Mijikenda. Many of them are laborers at the surrounding factories that are within the Changamwe EPZ and Changamwe industrial area, whereas others are traders within the neighborhood, watchmen in town and around changamwe and so on.
One of the major landmarks in Bangala is the catholic school which I think is associated with Father Dolan.
