How did Syombua Mwele/Syombua Osiany manage to transition from Kamba radio to Swahili radio?

Many of the people who started listening to radio just the other day may be unaware of the fact that Citizen’s Syombua Osiany was, at one point, a presenter on Kamba radio. I think she was one of the early presenters at Musyi FM, alongside the likes of Michael Kyalo (who had previously acted in Tausi), the late Ngoso ya Weu and the late Nzau Kalulu who had previously run the sundowner show on KBC. Today she is no longer known as Syombua Mwele, but rather as Syombua Osiany. And today, she no longer presents Kamba radio shows, but rather has an early morning Christian themed show on Citizen radio. It is a show in which gospel music is played, with bible readings and prayers in between.
Syombua Osiany is probably one of the few presenters I know of who have successfully made the switch from Kamba radio to Swahili radio. The only other ones I can remember (and that was very long ago) were the likes of the late William Maunda in the era when KBC was the only broadcaster.
I don’t know if Syombua’s switch from Musyi FM to Citizen FM (within the same Royal Media Services stable) was motivated by a desire to reach a bigger audience or if it was because of her love of Kiswahili or… What I know is that she has turned out to be as good in Swahili radio just as she was in Kamba radio.
